DRAZILOV, Joshua Philip

It's with extreme heartbreak and saddened hearts we say goodbye to Josh. Unexpectedly on Monday August 1, 2022, in his 36th year.  Beloved son of late Janette and Peter (Lara) Drazilov.  Cherished brother to Sarah (Matthew) McEachern and Kennedy Drazilov.  Doting uncle to Annetta and Audrey McEachern.  Much loved grandson of Lela and Peter Drazilov Sr., Rita Barr (the late Lars Carlson).  He will be forever missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.  His treasured bandmates, Blake, Dave and Jen will always carry him in their hearts and music.  His late faithful canine companion,  Marlee, will never leave him.  Josh touched the lives of many (more than he realized) with his tender heart, beautiful soul and his music.  Josh was an extremely talented guitarist who was constantly working on his craft, song writing and journaling. While he was a private person, he let us in with his music and through his band, Left on the Dial.  When he wasn't reading, playing or listening to music, he could be found cheering for the Barcelona football club or the Toronto Blue Jays.  He fulfilled a dream of touring much of North America on his motorcycle with his best friend and "The wind at [ his ] back".  You are invited to attend a memorial visitation at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa on Thursday, August 11th, 2022 from 4pm to 8pm.  A private interment will follow at a later date.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Unison Fund (unisonfund.ca) would be appreciated.

I met Josh for the first time during Covid when I was over at Dave’s condo and he had a band zoom chat. I could tell right away just how special he was and how talented he was on the guitar. Once Dave and I decided to move to Ajax we had no doubt we wanted Josh and Marlee to move with us. Him and Marlee were apart of our little family and I got to know Josh on a deeper level. He helped me many times take out the dogs when Dave was away and also helped me with the laundry whenever I asked. He was always there to lend me a hand. I will always remember our dinners as a family and our nights playing switch where Josh and I would always try to beat Dave.
Josh will never be forgotten and I am honored to have known him and call him my friend. Rest In Peace Joshua.

My heart is with the family of Josh. I know how proud you were of his musical accomplishments. His faithful furry friend must be grieving the loss of his master. May the love of family sustain you.

Words are not enough to describe the loss of this wonderful, kind, sensitive young man. The world is a lesser place for it. At least the wonderful memories survive.
