Charlie was a very special person in our lives when we were in our early 20's. He was like a second father to most of us. One of my many fond memories was he was our number 1 slow pitch fan no matter how bad some of our teams were.

A great man who will be sorely missed.
    Rest in Peace Charlie

Gamper loved to tell stories! I liked when he gave me his extra yellow beans and cauliflower that we both enjoy. Gamper and I would laugh alot when he tried to teach me how to whistle. A couple of times I went to the church breakfast with Gamper and Val. I am so happy that I got to see him two weekends ago at Val and Neighbour Mike's house. I will miss you.

Sending my deepest condolences to the Schletcher family. Charlie or better know as Gamper was a dedicated family man who led a great life. He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. It was always a great surprise to see him in the Grocery store shopping with Val. He always stoped by to say hi. Val you were a great daughter to your Dad. I pray the memories you all have of your Dad help heal your broken hearts.
      Sincerely Krista

Charlie was a very special person to anyone who knew him. He would visit our mom Olga, often chatting for hours about the old days. She was looking forward to a visit with Charlie as she recently moved back to Oshawa. I let her know that he had asked Bernice if she was in Oshawa and if so where. Unfortunately just days later he passed. We’re all going to miss your dad and his uplifting spirit. Our deepest sympathies. Olga, Lila, Gerald and Kenny Miller.

Val and Kevin and your families - our condolences - we shared so much over the years - good times and bad times. It is difficult to pick one but I guess it would be Charlie’s smile. He was a great fellow, loved and respected by all those he touched.
