Mary was an integral part of my growing up years and I will always cherish those fond memories. As my mothers best friend I saw how she cared and loved those who were most important in her life. We are sad to not be able to offer our condolences by being there but we are carrying the family around in our hearts today and the days to come. We love each one of you.

    Hi Bert,

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I never really knew your dear wife, and you may not remember me, but I went to CBS with you at the the end of the 80's.

I have not lost a spouse so I cannot say I know what you are going through. I'm praying that God will give you the grace to grieve and the strength to continue. I've concluded after the loss of my daughter in 2009 that time does not heal. We continue on in God's grace, but are NEVER the same. Things will be right again, but my brother I think we have to wait for the New Heaven's and New Earth for that.

Verses that gave me comfort were 1 Thess. 4:13-18, Romans 8:28-39.

Again, I am so sorry for your loss, Ron Barnes

    Hi Bert,

I am so sorry to hear of Mary's passing. What a significant personal and family loss. On the several occasions when we were together, I was always blessed by her gracious interest in and love for people, especially me.

I have not experienced the death of my wife, but since the homegoing of my brother, Ernie, in March, I am much more sensitive to the fragile nature of life and the significant challenge the loss of a loved one is to a family. I'm not sure that life is ever the same this side of eternity. Thankfully, the Father knows the way and holds our hand as we take a new faith journey with Him.

On behalf of your friends and fellow alumni of Central Baptist/Heritage Seminary, and especially me, I extend our sympathy and prayers to you and your family.

    With love in Christ,

Please accept my deepest sympathy. I did not know Mrs. Michel personally, but I do know the pain of losing someone you love.
May your family find comfort as I have in knowing that our loving heavenly Father promises us that very soon he will 'swallow up death forever, and certainly wipe the tears from all faces.' (Isaiah 25:8) What a wonderful day that will be!

    Hi Bert
Irene and I met Mary at the Cancer Clinic in Oshawa. We received hope and encouragement as Mary shared the journey the two of you were on. Irene went to be with Jesus on May 24. "Your will be done." I suppose our wives have met and do what resurrected souls do. Strength brother.
